News will be transmitted via a chip in the body, tailored according to a person’s interests, needs and social network. News organisations covering niche areas and claiming expertise in them will be the order of the day. Journalists will no longer work in a newsroom, but will receive instructions and brief editors as they are on the move.
This could be the way journalism works, 50 years later.
We’ve moved from pen and paper to new media 2.0 (or 3.0?) in the past half a century. My guess is that in the next half, everything that is beyond our imagination will be reality.
